Planned Parenthood Action Fund to Endorse Hillary Clinton for President
Proving her point, the House once more voted to repeal parts of the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood on Wednesday.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton just got two major endorsements from the reproductive health and rights community. “Thankfully, President Obama will exercise his veto power to stop the Republicans from cutting off women, men, and young people from vital health care services at Planned Parenthood-including cancer screenings, well-woman exams, and STI and HIV tests-and taking away health coverage from 18 million people”.
The controversy spurred calls for Planned Parenthood to lose its taxpayer funding and for those funds to be redirected to other women’s health organizations.
Hillary Clinton has taken every opportunity to speak out in support of Planned Parenthood, including dozens of shout-outs on the campaign trail.
Katie Holmes endorses Hillary Clinton.
Clinton is being challenged for her party’s nomination by independent Senator Bernie Sanders and former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley.
Planned Parenthood said it expects to spend more than $20 million supporting its candidates in the 2016 election – the most ever in one cycle. Last year doctored videos appeared to show employees engaging in unethical behavior, providing rhetoric for GOP presidential candidates like Carly Fiorina, and may have inspired a violent attack at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs last year.
The Planned Parenthood Action Fund first adopted its endorsement process in March of 2002, and made its first Presidential endorsement in support of John Kerry in 2004.
The nonprofit’s advocacy arm is scheduled to officially endorse Clinton at an event in Manchester, New Hampshire on Sunday, marking the first time that the 100-year-old organization has endorsed a candidate in the primary.
“I am honored to earn the endorsement of NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC”. “Today and every day, we #StandWithPP”, she tweeted on the day of the shooting.

Prior to the endorsement, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund held grassroots forums across the country where volunteers and supporters came together to discuss which issues impacted them most in their everyday lives.
