Planned Parenthood Endorses Hillary Clinton
In a statement yesterday, the abortion giant announced that it is kicking off the presidential primary by backing the Democratic hopeful, noting that Clinton will stand by Planned Parenthood- no matter what.

Occasionally-but only very occasionally-someone will gently suggest I exaggerate the arm-in-arm relationship between pro-abortion presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortion in our solar system. “No other 2016 candidate has shown such strong, lifelong commitment to the issues Planned Parenthood Action Fund cares about”. Planned Parenthood is a polarizing topic and the group suffered damaging public relations setbacks this summer when anti-abortion rights activists released video of an official from the group discussing the price of providing fetal parts. Bernie Sanders, by a 21-point margin in national polls.
Along with the endorsement, the organization will give Clinton $20 million to spend on her campaign. “Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded”, he said in an October interview with Fox News.
Considering the recent attacks on Planned Parenthood – from the shooting in November to the four arsons in the previous year – this endorsement marks a make-or-break moment in defense of women’s health.
A Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado was the site of a shooting that killed three people in 2015. “If I’m elected, I will be that president”. Her campaign celebrated the groundbreaking announcement in a tweet signed “H”. The organization revealed today that it would back Hillary Clinton for president, cheering her support for women’s healthcare in a political environment that has become increasingly hostile toward it. “And so, for many of them, it could be a real detriment to their organization’s abilities to gin up their supporters and raise the contributions”, concluded the presidential hopeful. Richards even advocated wearing matching pantsuits to celebrate. This is about so much more than Planned Parenthood.
Clinton’s extreme position on abortion is clear. Planned Parenthood also sponsors aspects of the Clinton Global Initiative, and other women’s organizations like Emily’s List share supporters among Clinton and Planned Parenthood, as well.
The endorsement is not unexpected: the Democratic front runner’s ties with Planned Parenthood are long standing, and she counts President Cecile Richards as a friend.
“We’re proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for President of the United States”, said Richards in a statement.

Ironically, as reporters unveiled news of the presidential endorsement, Clinton took to Twitter to defend taxpayer funding for the embattled abotion company.
