Planned Parenthood Files Federal Lawsuit to Protect Abortion in Ohio
GOP leaders launched the Senate Interim Committee on the Sanctity of Life in response to the release of undercover videos by anti-abortion activists that they said showed Planned Parenthood personnel discussing the sale of fetal tissue.

The Charitable Law Section requested financial documents and records from the specific Planned Parenthood clinics as well as companies they contracted.
The third Planned Parenthood clinic, in Bedford Heights, turned over remains of aborted fetuses to Illinois-based Stericycle, which then either incinerated the remains or sent them to a landfill, DeWine said Friday.
Cuomo was referring to Fiorina’s remarks during a Republican debate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library last September, when she graphically described a scene she claims to have watched in a video showing a Planned Parenthood abortion. “And we will be here and our doors will be open”, says Kight.Kight says Planned Parenthood’s contractors follow every step of OH law when disposing of fetal tissue.
Those claims were debunked, but DeWine said the investigation found that human fetal remains from Planned Parenthood were being discarded of in landfills.
However, this company told investigators that as a matter of corporate policy, it does not accept fetal remains.
Some of those issues have been cleared away: A bill last month to defund Planned Parenthood and strip President Barack Obama’s health care law of most of its authority stands no chance of becoming law, but reduced conservatives’ urgent efforts to include them in the spending bill. “It is important the public be aware that these practices are taking place at these OH facilities”.
DeWine, a Republican, said his office, in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Health, would likely file court papers seeking an injunction ordering Planned Parenthood to dispose of fetal remains humanely.
“The attorney general has done thorough work and his findings are disturbing”, Kasich said in a statement.
She said it is the same way medical material from other healthcare providers is disposed of.
The center has been providing health services in that neighborhood since the 1970s, she said.
