Planned Parenthood Fires Back Against AHCA’s Findings
A Senate vote to defund Planned Parenthood and send the money to community health clinics failed in June.

Republican presidential candidates and lawmakers have called for Planned Parenthood to be investigated and its federal funding eliminated after the appearance of videos that critics said showed the reproductive healthcare group involved in the illegal sale of aborted fetal tissue.
“Longstanding Medicaid laws prohibit states from restricting individuals who have coverage through Medicaid from receiving care from a qualified provider”, spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Kevin Griffs said in a statement.
As in past videos, the most recent video features an interview with a former technician for Planned Parenthood partner StemExpress Holly O’Donnell.
“Planned Parenthood will fight these attacks on our patients and all Louisiana women with everything we’ve got”, Flournoy said. Planned Parenthood affiliates in only three states – California, Oregon and Washington – operate fetal donation programs, the Times reports.
However, the poll suggests that the controversial video footage had an impact on the people surveyed, with 44 percent of respondents who watched it saying they now had a more negative view of Planned Parenthood, while 34 percent said their opinion was unchanged. And while the Obama administration is using its bully pulpit to fight for the abortion lobby, it can’t fully halt incremental reform such as this.

Just weeks after Gov. Rick Scott ordered an emergency inspection of all Planned Parenthood facilities in Florida, the state announced the three clinics were performing abortions in the second trimester when they’re only licensed to perform first-trimester abortions. “AHCA has agreed – as we have maintained all along – that, as long as the procedures performed are within 14 weeks from a woman’s last menstrual period (LMP), they do not exceed the authority under our licenses”. “We are here because Planned Parenthood sees women as dollar signs, not only for their abortions, but they are also selling their aborted baby body parts“. Planned Parenthood says the agency is now defining the first trimester as the first 12 weeks.
