Planned Parenthood seeks class-action status in Arkansas suit; state to appeal
It was revealed during the most recent House of Representative hearings on Planned Parenthood that 86% of revenues for one Planned Parenthood affiliate in Upstate New York came from abortion.

“The American people stand with Planned Parenthood and reject this extreme agenda”, she said.
Planned Parenthood has asked a federal judge to expand a ruling that temporarily blocked Arkansas from cutting off Medicaid payments for three patients after the state canceled the organization’s contract amid controversy over videos secretly recorded by an anti-abortion group.
The request for class certification notes that in fiscal 2015, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland provided care to more than 500 Arkansas women, men and teens insured through Medicaid, a state and federal health-care program for the poor and disabled.
“We are glad to hold accountable any politician who is on the wrong side of this issue”, said Nelson.
That detailed scene does not occur in the videos, produced by the anti-abortion Center for Medical Progress. By contrast, they said, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards appeared in person to be grilled at a hearing, and her group has produced 20,000 documents. All Medicaid-funded abortions undergo postpayment review, Soura said, and while that review isn’t complete, he suspects a few of the 222 abortions won’t meet federal guidelines. Reasonable people of good conscience and character can disagree over the morality of abortion, as well as the ethics of using fetal tissue for medical research.
A separate image shown later in the video is that of a stillborn baby miscarried in a hospital after 19 weeks of gestation.
It’s not clear whether the current debate has had much effect on the funding question.
Fiorina has pushed back in multiple interviews.
When Democratic lawmakers or other supporters assert that Planned Parenthood “provides” mammograms, this is highly misleading language because it could be interpreted to mean that the group directly administers the X-rays.
“They make information and their services so easy, that is why I fear that if their funding does get cut, these resources won’t be as readily available to folks who are in a situation where they might really need it, leading to more uniformed, unhealthy decisions”, Malik said. “That’s what I know but I’ll defer to others for commenting on that video and whatever videos they’re pumping out there”. “But they do not think a 17-week-old, a 20-week-old, a 24-week-old is worth saving”. “Certainly Charlie Baker is someone that should be considered”, she said. “That scene absolutely does exist”. Contrary to the beliefs of many Republicans, providing abortions is only a small aspect of what the organization offers to communities, accounting for only 3% of their services.

“It doesn’t surprise me that Planned Parenthood is a popular topic during this race”, DePaul junior, Mackenzie Canfield, said. Two forensics analyses by Fusion GPS (commissioned by Planned Parenthood) and Coalfire Systems found that there was no “widespread evidence of substantive video manipulation”, according to The New York Times. So what are the core values of the sensible majority of those who want to stop funding Planned Parenthood?
