PlayStation 4 Neo may ‘fundamentally change’ No Man’s Sky, says game maker

For everyone else, No Man’s Sky has a tutorial that tells them to how to acquire the blueprints for a hyperdrive module. Other tweaks include adjustments to standard combat, space combat, more unsafe planet types, updated terrain generation, more ship types, and the ability to scan areas for other players to make interaction with each other across the game’s 18 quintillion (really) worlds more likely. Others who go into it will probably find it pointless, meandering, and unfocused- and they wouldn’t necessarily be wrong in their criticisms, either. It’s an ambitious take on open-ended exploration set in a universe that has over 18 quintillion planets. Nothing breaks immersion like loading screens so No Man’s Sky has none.

What’s far more exciting than our own very early stage feedback is that No Man’s Sky creator, Sean Murray, has said that in just 24 hours since release there have been more species discovered by players than exist in reality.

The first thing the players should know is to download the Day One patch immediately. Murray went to Twitter to comment on what these two players managed to do, and how No Man’s Sky is exceeding even his expectations. Whether it was just a mistake or the fact that Hello Games was working on multiplayer but had to scratch the feature at some point is still up for debate at this time.

Developed by Hello Games, No Man’s Sky immediately caught everyone’s attention from the moment it was unveiled because of how different it looked.

He also yesterday hinted that the ability to discover other players while exploring the universe is still possible, following reports that two players arranged to meet up on the same planet and weren’t able to see each other.

Murray also promised that they will stick to the schedule this time around.

“Sean Murray, managing director of Hello Games, tweeted, “…too many of you are playing right now.

Other important changes include stat changes to upgrades and items, and the ability to scan galaxies that other players have explored, which may increase the chance of you bumping in to another player in the universe. The release date for No Man’s Sky is August 12 (worldwide PC release).
