Sony has also said that the units of the PlayStation VR launch bundle available for pre-orders will be limited.
Now Sony has announced a new PS VR bundle launch pack which includes two controllers as well as the camera and a whole new game called VR Worlds.
Now Sony says that it will offer the PSVR with those three missing components as part of its PlayStation VR Launch Bundle.
Pre-orders for PlayStation VR kick off on March 22 – but only if you want to grab an everything-plus-the-kitchen-sink bundle. Those who miss out on this first wave of pre-orders will get a second chance when another wave of pre-orders comes around this summer.
With this pricing, Sony is establishing PlayStation VR as the mass market VR headset, making it easy for anyone looking to get into VR to do so.
PlayStation VR has been getting a lot of attention as of late. Alongside the camera are two PlayStation Move controllers, and the disc version of PlayStation VR Worlds, a game that will combine five different VR games into one. The launch bundle seems more geared towards non-PlayStation owners who haven’t already invested in the peripheral hardware, while the core bundle will perhaps appeal to those already invested in the PlayStation ecosystem.
