Sony Corporation’s virtual reality headset Project Morpheus is no more.

The name change shifts Sony’s offering from just a VR headset to something that better connects to gamers and the audience expected to first use the device: people who already own a PlayStation or plan to own console.

Great news came in from Sony Computer Entertainment’s press conference at the Tokyo Game Show 2015. They popped question to the game’s project head and asked if “No Man’s Sky” will be available in the upcoming VR headsets.

Sony also has big titles that include Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV and Spike Chunsoft‘s Cyber Danganronpa on display at the expo in Tokyo.

There’s no telling yet if users will experience the same sort of sickening, dizzying feeling that plagues virtual reality headsets right now. Samsung is working with Oculus for the production of its VR device. The Japanese conglomerate is planning series of PSVR activities this week where players will have an opportunity to check out other VR demos. The Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive aim for at least 90 frames per second at 2160×1200 resolution-both to mitigate nausea and eliminate the “screen door effect”, where you can spot the individual pixels making up the image. Both the release date and price for PlayStation VR remain unconfirmed. The price-cut will be effective only in Japan, but eventually the company may slash the price of PS4 in other countries. Subsequent to that announcement, Sony have released a promo video which gives an intersting insight into how they’re approaching the marketing of this new platform as part of the Playstation brand.

The price drop is important because it comes officially from Sony. I can’t wait till North American release dates for these color options are announced.
