PlayStation VR Core priced at $399.99 Pre-Orders start next week

The second round of pre-orders for PlayStation VR is coming later today, Thursday, March 24 at 5:00 pm ET, as announced by the official Amazon Video Games Twitter account. Around three percent who answered revealed that they are not interested in buying a PlayStation VR. The PlayStation Move controllers are an optional way to create a more immersive experience.

Rather than opening up pre-orders all at once like its competitors and shipping hardware on a first-come first-served basis, Sony has opted to accept pre-orders in phases and waves. The VR obviously stands for “Virtual Reality” and the Playstation VR will provide gamers with a headset and viewing mechanism to play their games as if they are themselves in the game. If you already own a PlayStation camera and move controllers you can hold off the pre-order your Sony PlayStation VR headset until next week.

PlayStation VR isn’t set to arrive until October 2016 but anticipation is already reaching fever pitch. We understand that many customers were disappointed that we sold out so quickly, and we have good news for you. Importantly, the company outlined that soon after the PlayStation VR launches in October, 50 games will become available for the headset. The core package will only include a PS VR headset, PS VR cables, stereo headphones and PlayStation’s VR demo disc. The package will cost $399 only. Per reports, Slightly Mad has not given any official confirmation, though it may have more information ready closer to those headsets’ release dates.

Playstation VR will retail for £350 in the United Kingdom, but this won’t include the camera required to use the device.
