PlayStation VR demos hitting retailers tomorrow
Starting tomorrow, and continuing on Saturday, Sony will install PlayStation VR demo units at a limited number of retailers across the country. They want to make sure that gamers make an informed decision whether to buy PlayStation VR or not and if yes, then in which configuration. As all of you would expect, it’s our goal at PlayStation to deliver the best and richest VR gaming experiences, and we can’t wait for you to put that headset on and be transported into these worlds.

And don’t forget, the PlayStation VR will be available on store shelves on October 13. It is expected that “PlayStation VR Worlds” will be included with all units of the PSVR. However, the release date is a bit too far for curious fans, so those waiting to see the device go live might wait a lot longer before getting their own. The current batch of pre-orders has sold out, but Sony announced more will be available over the next few months.
Before the slated release in October, Sony will have five games for the initial demos and probably more as the countdown to its launching begins.
Sony announced Thursday that it will bring PlayStation VR, its PS4-exclusive VR headset that’s meant to be more affordable than its competitors, to select GameStop and Best Buy locations across the United States and Canada.
This is an important opportunity for Sony to demonstrate to it consumers why virtual reality is the next step in gaming technology and how the PlayStation VR works with the PS4. It is undetermined at this point what kind of bundles will be included and how many games a PlayStation VR bundle may come with.

Sony has launched a website with a searchable map that details the entire list of locations that will be showcasing the PlayStation VR demo.
