Virtual Reality (VR) gaming is certainly catching on – just take a look at Oculus Rift as well as Samsung’s Gear VR, not to mention HTC’s Vive. Shuhei Yoshida, Sony’s entertainment division president, told Tech Insider, that “many” people who own PlayStation 4s already own the PlayStation Camera, which is presumably why the company felt the need to sell the VR headset in bundles with and without the camera.
The $500 PlayStation launch bundle will include the following things: the PlayStation VR headset; PlayStation VR cables; PlayStation VR Demo Disc; PlayStation VR Worlds (disc); PlayStation Camera; Stereo Headphones; and 2 PlayStation Move Controllers. The price tag didn’t include the PlayStation Camera that is required for it to run.
With over 230 developers and publishers working on PS VR software titles, you can be sure that the PlayStation VR has plenty of potential right from the get go.
Turns out, interest in the Move controllers and Camera following the announcement makes a whole lot of sense, given that Sony just announced that those items are necessary to use the Playstation VR headset on the majority of its compatible games.

The core PS VR bundle, which has a suggested retail price of $399.99 United States dollars / $549.99 CAD, is not available for pre-order. If you plan on going for it, do it sooner rather than later, as the preorder wave will end eventually, though more will be available to preorder this summer.
