PlayStation VR will go on sale in October

The verdict from TrustedReviews man on the ground Brett Phipps seems to be that Sony pretty much won E3 with its press conference, courtesy of an unbelievably strong roster of exclusive games.

With PlayStation VR set to land in four months, it was no surprise that Sony went big on virtual reality at E3 2016.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be fully compatible with PS VR. The company announced that all PS4s are powerful enough to run VRs, so more than 40 million PS4 owners can buy the VR without upgrading their device. The premise of the game is that the player crash lands on the planet and has to fight to survive as you explore the planet and try to find your team and escape the planet. This was the VR title teased during EA’s Star Wars sizzle video. Titanfall 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, the WW1-themed Battlefield 1, Gears of War 4, the latest installment of the Legend of Zelda series, and EA’s slew of updated sports games will all be front and centre. Though the Australian launch date and pricing has yet to be confirmed, this announcement gives us a bit of a ballpark.

We also got a new trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare which looks (literally) out of this world. Additionally, PlayStation Move controllers will be available as a two-pack bundle for $99.99 (MSRP). That wasn’t the only thing he had to say, he said he will be bringing out a new game called Death Stranding; starring our favourite zombie killer Norman Reedus.

As well as games, users will also be able to enjoy 360-degree photos and videos captured by devices such as omnidirectional cameras, which will let them feel as if they are physically inside the captured scene.

There were other showcases from Guerilla Games Horizon: Zero Dawn, which features a woman Aloy and how she fights with animal looking machines in the woods and saves many lives.
