PlayStation, Xbox release new consoles to enhance gaming experience

Turns out the Sony PS4 Pro, formerly referred to as PlayStation Neo, is not as big of a leap as believed. The console has generated some buzz, both positive and negative for a number of reasons.

According to the report, the new PlayStation 4 Pro will be packed with advanced specs and features. The PS4 Pro, on the other hand, will launch in the United States on November 10 and will have an RRP of US$399. So let’s get started. Activision revealed that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and the Remastered Modern Warfare will support the PS4 Pro when it’s launched.

Shortly after the console was announced, Microsoft’s senior director of product management and planning was interviewed by Polygon, and he had some comments to make about Sony’s announcement and Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Scorpio. However, it has not been able to stream 4K content on many consoles due to lack of adequate support.

The PS4 Pro will become available November 10, priced at $399 with a 1TB hard drive. It’s a bold step, and Sony showed off some impressive PS4 Pro-powered game footage during their event, but fan reaction to the new machine has been decidedly mixed. However, when you use a PS4 Pro with a 4K display, it will be rendered at 1440p or higher while remaining at 60fps.

Sony is also rolling out a more compact version of the Playstation 4.

Over at the other camp, Microsoft is also working on its own beefed up Xbox One codenamed Project Scorpio. Sony also plans to release an update that will bring HDR gaming to all existing PS4 consoles. This is the newer console that is able to support 4K gaming.

Though Sony did not disclose an official release date, the new PS4 model should be available by the end of September.
