Gogoi also questioned the BJP leadership as to why they had not come up with an election manifesto instead of a vague and foggy vision document.
“There is only one “anand” (joy) in Assam, it is Sarbananda”, he said. “We promise a corruption-free government to the people”, Shah said, addressing a huge gathering at the Sivasagar College stadium.
Stating that every village should get electricity for bringing in development, the Prime Minister said even after 60 years of independence, electric poles have not reached 1,000 villages in Assam.

Criticising Modi for mocking Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi in his speeches at rallies, he said “Modi is a Prime Minister and head of the government. The people have a right to seek accounts of their money”, he said.
“Modi will address rallies at Tinsukia, Majuli, Bihpuria, Bokakhat and Jorhat and is scheduled to address rallies at Rangapara and Karimganj on March 27 ” BJP said in a release.

BJP has partnered with regional party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and Bodo People’s Front (BPF) for the polls. The state has multi-faceted blocks for development. I urge people of Assam to give decisive mandate and do not leave it halfway.
