PM Narendra Modi leaves for Turkey after three-day United Kingdom visit

Asserting that Narendra Modi has proved his critics wrong, British Prime Minister David Cameron today said that his Indian counterpart has worked tremendously after forming the government in New Delhi and said “acche din zaroor aayega”.

“You have as much right on India as I have”, Modi said and asked them to renew their links with the country as their dreams will be fulfilled.

Reaching out to the diaspora, the Prime Minister said that the colour of the passports did not determine their relationship with the nation, but only their colour of blood.

Apart from Alisha, British singer-rapper Jay Sean, Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, and Indian violinist Jyotsna Srikanth were among the other performers listed for the event on Friday, the second day of Modi’s three-day visit.

“Above all, I can see that Prime Minister Modi is deadly serious about his plans to transform India and Britain can play a big part in helping him to do that”. He renewed his pitch for India getting a permanent seat in the UN Security Council.

“Such is the bond between India and United Kingdom, that all you need to do is turn your watch upside down to know the time in India”, he said. The event was held in a carnival atmosphere following celebrations for the Diwali festival.

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today said India’s enormous diversity is its speciality, pride and strength.

Meanwhile, the India-UK joint statement also made a reference to India-Nepal ties, according to the newspaper.

A dynamic cultural show showcasing dance styles across India, besides a variety of dance mixes with Bollywood songs, was on display. “I wonder why we have started pampering povery”, he said, adding that India’s demographic profile was predominantly of youth and hence nobody could stall the country’s development. “My India resides in people like Imran Khan”, he said. There was also a performance by Scottish bagpipers. “We will cross new frontiers of development”, Modi said.

“I think the highlight for me was having dinner together at Chequers and the ability to talk very privately about the challenges we both face”.

On Indo-UK relations, Mr Modi said: “Between two vibrant democracies, we are celebrating this very special relationships in this very special venue”.
