While Sonia’s son and party Vice President Rahul Gandhi paid floral tributes at Vir Bhumi, the memorial of Rajiv Gandhi, daughter Priyanka and her husband Robert Vadra also skipped the prayer meeting.

As per a government record, more than 2,000 Sikhs are reported to have been massacred in the ’84 riots. This was for the second time in three days that the party was left red-faced by its members. The West Bengal Congress, however, committed a huge faux pas while tweeting about the day. However, the damage had been done by then.

While the party handle immediately deleted the tweet and replaced it with another one, screenshots of it started circulating on the platform.
