Modi exhorted the people of Pakistan to eschew the path of violence and work to eradicate social ills such as poverty and unemployment. She said that though Modi has been “lecturing” Pakistan of a poor socio-economic front, he has not done his bit for the people of his own country.

The incidents of violence, which took place as the Indian forces used brute force to subdue pro-independence protests erupting after the killing of Kashmiri youth leader Burhan Wani over two months ago, have left thousands of citizens wounded in the Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK).

Modi said, there were 17 attempts by fidayen attackers sent by the neighbouring country, which have been defeated by courageous Indian soldiers who have neutralised over 110 terrorists, which is the highest in recent years.

Abdul Basit urged the worldwide community to take step for the self-determination of Kashmiris so that they can live life peacefully.
