PM Nawaz congratulates British PM on taking charge of her post
British premier Theresa May on Tuesday called Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed various bilateral affairs following the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

“The government and the people of Pakistan greatly value your long association with Pakistan”.
The Prime Minister assured the British Prime Minister of his support to work closely with her in achieving close bilateral relations in all fields.
PM Modi recalled his memorable visit to the United Kingdom last November and affirmed India’s commitment to further strengthen the strategic partnership between both countries. “Finally, both welcomed the valuable contribution of the Indian diaspora to the United Kingdom”, the statement added. They also talked about the importance of our co-operation on a range of global issues as well as the deepening of our defence and economic relations.
PM Sharif said that May’s appointment reflects “the faith and the confidence that the people of the United Kingdom have reposed in your ability to steer the country at this historic time”.
Prime Minister John Key has offered his congratulations to his newly-installed British counterpart Theresa May.
She further said that she was eagerly waiting for her upcoming visit to Pakistan in the coming months as the British prime minister.

British PM also said that they support the democratic system of Pakistan. They both agreed that the partnership between our countries is a vital cornerstone of the worldwide effort to bring stability to Syria.
