“Nawaz Sharif’s blood test results are also coming positive”, he said.

To a question, Hussain Nawaz said the Prime Minister was following the doctors’ advice and they have to decide about how long the Prime Minister would have to take rest for complete recovery before returning to Pakistan. “All being well, Insha’Allah PM will be discharged this afternoon”.

Sharif moved to his home in Park Lane this evening after undergoing the “successful” surgery last Tuesday.

Maryam Nawaz also said that Sharif’s recovery was on course.

From announcing the prime minister’s decision to undergo the surgery, to tweeting his first picture after the procedure, Maryam’s Twitter feed has provided minute details about how much time the patient would spend inside the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as his tentative plans to come back home.

Meanwhile, a PML-N United Kingdom spokesperson said Nawaz Sharif would like to thank everybody who prayed for him and sent their good wishes, especially in the month of Ramadan.

Nawaz had travelled to London on May 22 for a medical check-up but prolonged his visit after doctors advised to carry out the surgery following examinations. A small crowd was gathered outside the hospital to catch a glimpse of the prime minister.
