PM wants to settle disputes with India through dialogue

Flag hoisting, cake cutting ceremonies and seminars, national songs competitions were also held at RPO, CPO, Commissioner, DCO, TMA, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Pir Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Government Girls Colleges at Tipu Road, Dhoke Hassu, Dhoke Mangtal, Commercial, 6th Road and Shamasabad.

The ceremony was attended by AJK cabinet Ministers, high ranking civil and military officials and notables of the city.

The day is being marked by complete strike in occupied Kashmir. “Meanwhile, Ahead of India-Pak NSA-level talks, Pakistan today said it will not “abandon” the Kashmiris” “legitimate struggle for freedom”, stressing that to have normal and cooperative relationship with India it was necessary to settle the decades-old dispute. He conveyed his best wishes for the good health and the well being of the people of India.

While Dr Naveed Atif, second secretary (immigration), conducted the proceedings, Captain Altaf Hussain, defence attaché (DA), read the messages from Mamnoon Husain, president of Pakistan and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, prime minister of Pakistan. He lauded Armed forces for defending ideological and geographic frontiers of the Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. People preferred to stay indoors due to the shutdown and restrictions in some of the areas in Kashmir valley. The injured have been admitted in DHQ Hospital Haveli, Azad Kashmir.
