PMQs: May and Corbyn on housing prices and mortgages
Launching his energy and environment manifesto in Nottingham, Mr Corbyn is expected to say: “When Labour gets back into power Britain will lead the world in action on climate change”.

“When the election is over and if I am elected leader of the party, I hope the MPs will come together”.
In a statement, they said: “Ali, Astro and Mickey have always been great supporters of the Labour party, and they look forward to the new leader taking the Labour party back into government at the earliest opportunity”.
“Jeremy Corbyn says that he doesn’t support a rule change to deselect MPs”.
Mr Smith said: “Jeremy is the disunity candidate in this contest”.
Labour sources insisted Corbyn’s position was consistent with shadow chancellor John McDonnell’s claim in the aftermath of the Brexit vote that “the damage that would be done to our economy by pulling out of the single market at this time could be substantial”.
The revelation comes as Mr Smith attacked his opponent in a BBC Question Time hustings.
“Serious betting support for Owen Smith has virtually dried up in recent days and the only positive element for him is that two thirds of all the individual bets placed have been in his favour” said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
There was perhaps no clear victor of the BBC Question Time hustings special in which Labour leadership candidates Jeremy Corbyn and Owen Smith faced questions from the crowd ahead of the election.
“We have to be a credible government-in-waiting and win the next election”.
The opponents also disagreed about accusations of antisemitism within Labour. “There is absolutely no doubt”.
Corbyn, who attracted nearly 60% of the vote in 2015, is expected to win the contest.
Asked what politicians could learn from musicians, Mr Corbyn said: “I think teamwork, supporting each other”. Neither candidate knew the questions in advance.
When are the leadership debates?
MORE than 3,000 people have been barred from voting in Labour’s leadership contest by the party for breaking its rules.
The Labour leader has no support from his MPs and his challenger has no support from the party, they were told.
One member claimed they had been suspended by the party for using the world “Blairite”, while another said they were contacted by Labour over a supposed message sent on a Twitter account which is private.
The idea of having “access” to the single market, without remaining a member, has also been mooted by many pro-Brexit campaigners.
