Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “Nothing to say”.

Guus Hiddink says Tottenham’s players are likely to be feeling the pressure of competing for the Premier League title.

Leicester’s 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday moved them eight points clear at the top and Spurs must win at Chelsea for the first time since 1990 to keep their faint title hopes alive.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri’s whereabouts were unknown however.

“I think it is important for the players, and the potential players that will come, that they don’t hear rumours about whether I will be here or not”, he said. It was a great season and they deserve the title.

“When the ex-champions are celebrating like they won the league at the end, it shows that we’re doing something right”, he told the BBC. The season fantastic and we still fight for second place.

“We keep working hard, try to believe and the players have given their best every day”.

“We need to feel proud of the players, congratulate our players, we’re fighting for that and thank you to the supporters for their support”.

Leicester City are Premier League 2015/16 champions after Chelsea’s fightback against Tottenham, with the Blues earning a 2-2 draw and making Leicester’s lead atop the table insurmountable.

Both incidents were missed by referee Mark Clattenburg and the duo could face retrospective action from the Football Association.

Hiddink is the arch diplomat and has done well to harmonise a previously divided squad under Jose Mourinho, and although the Blues have no chance of achieving anything more this season, a chance to derail Spurs’ unlikely title bid should galvanise and motivate them.

For now, Spurs are focused on tomorrow night’s (Monday’s) trip to Chelsea.

Tottenham are the side with more to play for, but it seems that Chelsea have finally found some form. That will come with a win or a draw against Chelsea or the following week when Spurs host Southampton at White Hart Lane for this season’s final home game of the 2015-16 campaign.

“We suffer a lot because they press so high”. Not that we need much, because we have a good squad already. It was a good lesson for us.

“The basis is now very solid and only the future can be brilliant”.

“It’s true we are disappointed because we had the opportunity to play for the title”.
