Pogba banned for United’s 1st game of Premier League season

José Mourinho has claimed that many of Manchester United’s rivals are scared to say that they can win the Premier League title, while he is sure his team are candidates to do so.

His debut is now likely to be against Southampton, at Old Trafford, next Friday.

United recruited Mourinho to replace Louis van Gaal only six days after the Dutch manager won the FA Cup in May and have backed their manager extravagantly in the transfer market. We know that others have the same ambitions as us.

“If we aren’t champions because someone else is better than us then great, that is football”.

“I think the quality of the league has gone up when you look at the quality of managers that have come in, the players that have been attracted to the league and the money that has been spent. He takes all the sessions and, while he wants us to work hard, he is always cracking jokes and having banter with the players”, Lingard told The Mirror. They prefer to play a defensive game in words.

“They prefer to say or to hide or to play defensively with the words, that’s not our way”. That’s not our way. I don’t think that’s Man United. He also made it clear the Red Devils are targeting the Premier League title this year. “Maybe we arrive at the end and be happy we finish in the top four”.

“It is a good stable team, for sure it will be a hard match for us (on Sunday)”. I speak about the ones that are ready to play.

Manchester United have won 15 of their 24 opening fixtures in the Premier League, a joint-high with Chelsea.

“I think you can pick any player in their team as a threat, especially the full-backs; Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw”. But so can anybody.

“That’s a good question”.

“It did everything for the players’ belief systems”. Perhaps the highlights of their pre-season was the 1-1 draw against Spanish side Valencia or the 4-0 thrashing of MLS side Minnesota United.

While Mourinho’s arrival has coincided with several big-name signings, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly all joining Paul Pogba in a show of considerable financial force, this week has seen three departures too.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be a problem for Jose Mourinho and Wayne Rooney at Manchester United
