Pogba has not made any progress over past two years – Altafini

On Sunda United manager Jose Mourinho said he felt the 23-year-old was coming to the “perfect” place for him to surpass Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo as the game’s preeminent player.

The fee topples Gareth Bale’s £86m move to Real Madrid in 2013, and both Arsenal’s Wenger and Liverpool boss Klopp were outspoken over Pogba’s valuation.

“From training with him and playing with him I know all about his self-belief and work ethic, as well as his ability as a player”.

The newly-appointed Portuguese manager has been tasked with bringing back the glory days to the 20-time English champions after three lean years since Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

Parlour, however, believes Pogba could be afforded more freedom in a similar system at United this season.

“The difficulty of the job for me is that I’m so different from Mr Van Gaal”, said Mourinho.

“Paul told me before he left that he wanted to be the best player in the world”. You look at the modern-day game, and there aren’t many players who can do that and he definitely can.

Despite the astronomical fee, Juventus will not see several of the millions United have forked out to reclaim Pogba, four years after selling him to the Serie A giants for just £800,000.

“Thanks @juventusfc and all Juventini. First time a huge foreign star in his prime has come to England”, he wrote on Twitter.

The reported fee does not include agent’s fees.

Fans have been quick to share their thoughts, not just on the Pogba representation but also on the addition of yet another official partner for the club.

Pogba had to spend his post-Euro 2016 holiday in the United States avoiding the subject of a potential transfer whenever he was out in public or on social media.

“From then on, our goose was cooked because Raiola had been able to ingratiate himself with Paul and his family and the player signed with Juventus”.

How do you think United will line-up this year?

“And we got them all before the start of the Premier League, when the transfer window only closes at the end of the month and it becomes normal – nearly a tradition, that people delay and delay and delay”.

City regards Stones as one of the best young defenders in Europe and was keen to make another expensive bid to improve its back line, after spending about 60 million pounds on Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi over the past two seasons.

“He has a very big year ahead – I must say his preparation was encouraging”, said Wenger. Any way you dress it up €105m for a midfield player is too much money.

The value of a player is dependent on his talent, the expected strengthening of the team, his age and of course his resale value.
