Pogba jackpot for United
The Red Devils smashed the world transfer record to land the Juventus ace in an £89m deal on Monday night.

In four years with the Bianconeri, Pogba made 178 appearances, collecting 34 goals and powered Juventus to the Champions League final in 2015. United are a different club to when I was there.
Cole told the club’s website: “It sounds like Madrid didn’t have the money to fund it, reading the reports, so you could say we have beaten them in that respect”.
Pogba’s arrival is the latest big-money capture sanctioned by United in recent years, having bought Angel Di Maria for a then British record £59.7m in 2014.
After 4 years and over £100 million, French football star Paul Pogba, returns home to Old Trafford after successfully re-signing with Manchester United.
The Spaniard almost joined Madrid last summer for £25 million, but late paperwork stalled the deal.
“He has energy from box to box [which United have lacked]”.

“We couldn’t entice players to come here and we couldn’t keep them when we had the best ones”.
But amid suggestions that a move to 4-3-3 – which Mourinho used during his initial spell at Chelsea to win back-to-back Premier League titles – could be implemented to try and get the best out of their new signing.
An increase in kit sales, an increase in the image rights of the player, and potentially an added value on a future transfer could see United ending up turning a profit from football’s most expensive player, who smashed Gareth Bale’s £85 million transfer to Real Madrid in 2013.
In an interview, Pogba stated that his desire to work under Jose Mourinho was the ultimate factor in his decision.
But although Lindegaard believes United have changed their principles, he insists he is “happy” for his former team-mate Pogba and is backing the club to succeed under Jose Mourinho’s tutelage.
“But this group of 23 is a great group and I think in this moment – and I told them this – there is a little bit of frustration for the ones that I have not selected”.

“He’s a very young player, an unbelievable midfield player with such physicality but, at the same time, such agility, co-ordination, skill”, Mourinho said.
