Similarly, if Ferguson had said, quite literally, “no way José”, we’re not convinced the deal would’ve been brought to a dramatic halt.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola again waded into the debate on Friday when he confirmed no deal between the two clubs was in place. Not only that, but the deal also includes that ‘The Old Lady ‘will receive a bonus payment if the French midfield general further renews his contract with United or if he wins the Ballon d’Or in the future.

After joking on Instagram on Saturday morning that he was having a “medical” at Universal Studios as part of his on-going post-Euro 2016 holiday in the U.S., a United fan later made the headlines.

When asked about Pogba’s proposed move to Manchester United, Raiola told La Stampa: “It will be closed in the next few days”.

Pogba is reportedly set to cost United close to €120million, with Raiola to claim a fee of as much as €20m – a complication that is rumoured to have held up the protracted transfer.

United are now eager to unveil their latest summer signing, who joins Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in joining United this summer. German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is expected to be the biggest causality of Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Old Trafford.

No deal has been reached between Juventus and Manchester United concerning the touted transfer of French global Paul Pogba, the player’s agent Mino Raiola insisted Friday.
