Pokémon Go makers say they’re updating iOS app to address security concerns
Pokemon Go combines real life locations with the challenge of capturing characters from the anime world of Pokemon….all by way of your smart phone. More people are using it on Android than Twitter, it’s bigger than Tinder and people – myself included – have been downloading it despite it still not having had a worldwide release out of desperation to be part of the fad. These gyms show up at local landmarks, so in some ways, the game can lead players to tour their cities and discover places they had never been.

That same report also notes that as of July 8th, only two days after the game’s official release, it has been installed on 5.16% of all Android devices in the US.
Pokemon Go co-creator Niantic has said that it is not accessing iOS users’ entire Google accounts.
The firm behind smash-hit game Pokemon Go has promised to “fix” an error that suggested it had been granted full access to users’ Google accounts.
If you’ve already signed up for a Pokemon Go account you can visit this account page to remove the application’s full permissions and lock your information up again.
Niantic Labs also stated that Google had verified that no other information had been received or accessed by Pokemon Go or Niantic. If a user signs into the app by using a Google account, he might be unknowingly giving permissions over the information linked to the account.
Want to play Pokemon Go? However, Pokémon Go only accesses basically Google profile information (specifically, your User ID and email addresses) and no other Google account information is or has been accessed or collected. But they emphasized that they only basic information of the user is accessed by the app and an update fixing this will soon be rolling out from Google.
One of the companies behind the game, Niantic, said neither it nor Pokémon GO ultimately accessed any of that information. But, it looks like the game as a serious security issue as well. All you then need to do is log back in to your proper United Kingdom account.

Still, officially the game is not available for the Indian audience.
