Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow are coming to 3DS with wireless trading
With the exception of Earthbound/Mother, Pokemon has easily been the most request series to join the virtual console line up. This is the first time the original versions of the first Pokémon games will have this capability.

Players can trade and battle their Pokemon wirelessly; this was not possible for the original games, which required a cable for multiplayer functionality.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon Red and Blue, the original 3 games will be re-released on the 3DS eShop. Further information on what’ll be included in these boxes (not to mention whether or not they’ll arrive stateside) remains unknown. The game in question will be available in the market early December.
