Talk on Nintendo’s next-generation system has been heating up lately, and the latest comes from The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara, speaking with The Wall Street Journal.

Seeing both companies partnering for NX is not surprising at all. The NX might be one of the first game consoles in some time to not incorporate ” AMD Inside”.

Based on Ishihara’s comment, the NX is likely to be a hybrid home and handheld console.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will be arriving exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS on November 18, 2016. What do we actually know about the Nintendo NX?

While the Nintendo NX is yet to be revealed, it looks like there may have been a release date leak for it; a new Zelda Amiibo figure was found on the official Nintendo website with a March 4th release date. According to the insider SuperMetalDave64, NX will be presented on 20 or 21 September via Nintendo Direct, and the announcement of the event could be just on the 20th, coinciding with the end of the embargo for developers. It’s also been reported that the console will use cartridges rather than discs.
