The company removed the three-footstep tracker feature rather than fixing it, and also shut down several third-party maps-based services that would show players Pokemon on the map. As if finding Pokemon isn’t already hard enough without these features, Niantic has made catching them harder as well. The map on the watch app is just more rudimentary than your typical Google Map, but it’s still workable as long as you know how to read one.

If you’ve been struggling more than usual to catch Pokemon, you’re not the only one. And even if, by any chance, you actually manage to catch that pocket monster, you wouldn’t receive the XP bonus that helps you level up.
Pokemon Go is now suffering from a bug that makes the Pokemon you’re trying to catch more likely to run away. The game’s rating on the iTunes App Store plummeted to just 1.5 stars (out of 5) in the USA and United Kingdom due to thousands of angry reviews, after Niantic removed some popular ways to track Pokemon in the wild.
“Pokemon GO” was released to mixed reviews, with critics praising the game’s concept and the incentive to be more active in the real world while criticizing frequent technical issues apparent at launch.

We’re seeing Pokemon pop out of their Pokeballs more often, run away far more often, and it also appears to be harder to hit some Pokemon (yes, even Pidgey) with our thrown Pokeballs, too. That means you might not see as many Pokemon around you by just driving a vehicle or riding a bike. Let’s hope Niantic is preparing some fixes.
