The creator of hit game “Pokemon Go” has tried to appease users after a software update over the weekend sparked a social media backlash, pushing the company to admit some of its features were “confusing”. As of writing this Niantic has yet to release any Legendary Pokemon in the game officially.

Pokemon Go is without question one of the most unexpected phenomena of 2016 so far, at least where the mobile industry is concerned.

At the “Pokemon Go” panel in Comic-Con, Niantic teased the fans that there is a lot more to expect in the game that has already taken the whole world by storm.

This is based on their recent blog post where the team also announced that they are spending hours and hours trying to fix bugs on the game.

The app uses your phone’s Global Positioning System and clock to detect where you are and make Pokemon characters appear on your phone screens. Commitment and hard work on the Pokemon has become undervalued they say.

The mayor of Rio weighed in, calling last month for Pokemon Go to launch in the city in time for the Games. Nonetheless, some people still remained skeptic, while others vented out their anger at Niantic Labs and Nintendo, believing that giving Covey Articuno as a gift after experiencing a glitch is unfair.

“We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn’t have”, the developer said in a statement to IGN.

Do you think Pokemon Go’s makers should pay up?

The company said that sites like Pokevision – which scrape the game to find out where Pokemon are hiding out – looked innocuous but actually “hurt our ability to deliver the game to new and existing players”. The company plans to push out the game in more countries soon, but will also be working on addressing more bugs and adding more features in the future.
