Pokemon GO developer explains why tracking features were removed

Apart from that Niantic has also posted a post on their facebook page stating reason that why they removed the “3 step” tracking from the game. In a Facebook post, the USA company said it removed the indicator showing how far Pokemon were because it was “confusing and did not meet our underlying product goals”. Niantic’s post concludes by saying it plans to keep players updated more frequently going forward.

Niantic explained that limiting access by third-party services will allow it to roll out “Pokemon Go” to more countries, including Brazil. And we aren’t done yet! Niantic admitted that the game’s popularity made it hard to proceed with their original release plans, although they still planned to release the game in Brazil and other countries where the game isn’t available.

But the developers have not yet commented on the fact that why some third party services who were providing the link to install Pokemon Go were removed from the Play store as well as app store. We will keep you posted as we strive to improve this feature.

According to Niantic third-party services were also to blame.

While Pokémon GO continues to enjoy global success, recent changes to the app have made plenty of fans unhappy.

No official statement from Niantic has been released about all the issues yet but a number of people are angry if you are to check out the subreddit. Unfortunately the explanation doesn’t seem to have appeased many gamers, but hopefully this is something the developers will address soon if they hope to make Pokemon GO a sustainable game. The in-game pokémon tracker hasn’t worked for nearly two weeks and, more recently, the third-party sites that scraped the app for tracking data have been blocked. Still, the company says it will keep players posted as it works to improve the game’s tracking feature, so hopefully Niantic will keep the updates coming. He said the game has become a nuisance because leading players who seek the mythical, miniature players enter his house and knocked on his door to ask access to his backyard so they can catch the Pokemon.
