Pokemon GO Devs Respond To The Community’s Outrage

A updates issued late last week saw the removal of the game’s 3-Step system, the shutdown of third-party Pokémon Go sites created to help players hunt down pocket monsters, balance changes to some of the game’s top creatures and more. In a Facebook post, the USA company said it removed the indicator showing how far Pokemon were because it was “confusing and did not meet our underlying product goals”.

Niantic also said, “The original feature, although enjoyed by many, was also confusing and did not meet our underlying product goals”, it continued.

In just the course of several weeks, the augmented reality smartphone game “Pokemon Go” has gone from a mega hit to a broken game and even its most ardent fans are starting to ask for refunds.

However, many users have taken to social media to express their frustration that the app’s Pokemon tracking tool has been completely removed, after it failed in the first days of the app’s launch.

Niantic’s statement ended with an assurance that the team is monitoring all feedback. Yes, Brazil, we want to bring the game to you (and many other countries where it is not yet available). Niantic’s post concludes by saying it plans to keep players updated more frequently going forward.

A number of third party apps, including the popular tool Pokevision, has also disappeared overnight as Niantic and Nintendo continue to look at to refining their user experience.
