I will leave this to you, the reader, Is Pokemon: Go a good idea for an app or a bad idea?
The game claims it’s location based and, as you can see in this screenshot, Pokemon do show up in your real world location.
A woman uses a portable battery pack to charge her phone while playing the augmented reality mobile game “Pokemon Go” by Nintendo in New York City, U.S. July 11, 2016. Niantic, the developer behind the game, was quick to explain that this was nothing more than a bug, and that the app only ever had access to basic information, such as a player’s name and email address.
“Pokemon Go” has almost 21 million daily active users, according to Survey Monkey.
Niantic and Nintendo are probably celebrating right now because since the last update and its commercial release, Pokemon GO has received some new features especially on the version running on a Nexus 6/6P.
Whilst Pokemon go is not now available in China, some Chinese are fearful that the hugely popular GPS-based smartphone game could become a Trojan horse for offensive action by the US and Japan against China.
Once you are in proximity to the “placed” creature, you then use your device’s camera to “view” the creature and try to “capture” it.
Nick Summers from technology site Engadget said the exploration aspect of the game should be praised, but agreed it should also come with a warning. “I really liked Pokemon as a kid”, said Gan Tian, a 22-year-old student at Tsinghua University. Recent news surfaced that there are some players falling over, gazing and cutting while playing “Pokemon GO” because of not paying attention to their surroundings.
Those outside the gaming community have been exposed to the game prior to thelaunch too, with a small church in Birmingham reporting a steady stream ofgamers visiting them because of the app. They have always ensured that the entire family takes part in their games unlike what the Playstation 4 and Xbox One offers.
