Pokemon Go firm fixes ‘full Google access’ error
Pokemon Go already has a list of known issues that have been flagged by developers Niantic, some of which are more frustrating than others. Don’t worry! We have it covered. The franchise has since grown to become one of the most popular and beloved entities of the video games world.

The malicious APK is said to have been uploaded to a malicious file repository service less than 72 hours after the game was officially released in New Zealand and Australia, the first countries where the game was available.
It is understood the delay is a result of the game’s popularity, which has caused it to crash on numerous occasions.
The mobile-game is based on the original Nintendo games, but uses Global Positioning System to draw players to various locations by making them walk to find and catch Pokemon, get items at “PokeStops” or challenge leaders at gyms in the area. There is actually an option to catch Pikachu right near the start of the game.
“Pokémon Go”, uses alternative reality technology to put virtual creatures called Pokémon – into reality.
“Even if you don’t exactly know what augmented reality is, you’ve heard the word before”, he says. Moving forward, Hanke would like to further evolve the game’s competitive and cooperative team-play, and there’s a lot more that the Niantic Labs team would like to do with that.
However, just a week after its release in the U.S., the app is at the centre of what is potentially a security nightmare for iOS users who have downloaded Pokemon Go. The game helps bring strangers together, in places where they never would have visited otherwise. You can trap wild Pokemon by throwing balls at them using a flicking motion with your finger. In another incident, the local police in Missouri also claimed that four suspected robbers has lured victims with the possibility of Pokemon. Also, it is random as not all users are affected.
To be clear, not everyone who uses their Google account to sign in hands over full control: Android phones do not gain full access, it seems, but iOS devices do. The franchise has since expanded to include card games and other toys and was a finalist for the Videogame Hall of Fame previous year.
If players sign up to the game through their Google account, it requires access to your location, camera, contacts, and storage, but the iOS version requests more permissions than needed. Google is presently reportedly working with the game developers to patch this area and make sure no information is being fetched without the user’s permissions. If the Pokemon Go juggernaut continues, he said, developers of other top-grossing mobile games, such as Supercell Oy’s Clash of Clans or Activision’s Candy Crush, could be encouraged to add a location component to existing games.

Google settings state that “full access” means Pokemon Go “can see and modify almost all information in your Google Account”.
