Pokemon Go Makes $200 Million in a Month, Shatters Records
Although Nintendo has a small stake in Niantic, Pokémon GO’s creator, the company has said that the game will have a limited impact on its revenues. Pokemon GO revenue has reportedly topped highs of $200 million according to a study carried out by analytics platform Sensor Tower. The developer has had to struggle with bugs as well as security issues among user complaints that many feared would have derailed the game’s popularity. As Pokemon Go launches in more countries, the amount of revenue brought in continues to grow.

Sensor Tower found that at the point when the game was launched in Japan on July 22, revenue growth accelerated significantly.
Even now new countries continue to join the Pokemon Go craze, including 15 new Asian markets that were added just last week. Each game generated revenue from in-app purchases.
“Pokemon Go” also earned more than seven times as much net revenue in its first month as “Candy Crush Soda Saga”, the viral hit which was released in 2014.
As Android Police reported early Monday, the game has officially racked up an incredible 100 million downloads on Google Play.

“The game is being played on an average of 30 minutes per day in the USA on iOS, which is more than Facebook’s average of 22 minutes per day”, said Randy Nelson, mobile insights head of the Sensor Towers.
