The National Police Agency reported on Tuesday that 79 bicycle and auto accidents related to playing the game have taken place in Japan since its release in late July.

Pokemon Go players have been robbed, stabbed, and hurt in a number of ways while they were engrossed in trying to catch the little monsters, and now it appears that they’re the ones doing the hurting as their quest to catch Pokemon continues.

Jiji also said there have been almost 80 accidents in Japan involving modes of transportation including cars and bicycles since the app was introduced into Japan last month. It was the first case of a death in Japan resulting from someone playing the game, they added.
