Pokemon Go is now a global game, as the Pokemon Go App is also released in Asia.

Apparently, Nintendo plans to expand and diversify the use of Gyms and PokeStops beyond the existing hotspots around monuments and other landmarks wherein Pokemon trainers can pickup special in-game items, power-ups and battle against rival players’ Pokemons. However, the lead developer of the game has said that he wants to roll Pokémon Go out in 200 markets soon.

The location-based elements are critical to the game, and Niantic had a big role in development because it developed Ingress, another popular GPS-based game.

Players search the real world using satellite location to find Pokémon near them, and use augmented reality to see and capture them.

Although “Pokemon Go” may not help Nintendo learn the myriad tips needed to make smartphone games, it has at least proved that its characters still appeal to the smartphone crowd, Mizuno said. Nintendo stock is up over 80% since the game’s debut as the title shows promise for Nintendo’s continued relevancy in an iOS and Android dominated world. The pirated version of the app has been downloaded by millions, and there are several unauthorised Pokémon Go files and guides explaining how to install the game all over the web. You’ll have to create a new Apple ID to be able to download the game from Apple’s App Store. The game is reportedly exceeding $1.5 million dollars in daily revenue. As of 11 July, about 10.8% of all Android devices in the USA had installed the app, 15.1% in Australia and in 16% New Zealand. apkmirror.com, which provides access to the Pokémon Go app, had more than four million daily visitors on both 6 and 11 July. Niantic has released Pokemon Go in the United States at launch on July 6.
