Similar in nature to Niantic’s approach with its fellow location-based game Ingress, Hanke told The New York Times that brokering a deal with retail establishments represents an “intriguing moneymaking possibility” that could potentially safeguard Pokemon Go’s longevity.

The update is not yet available for Android – probably because it was only iOS users who were experiencing the full security issue.
There’s a ton of reasons people love Pokemon GO. It has become a massive hit as soon as it was released, though the game was only made available to selected countries.

This follows a report by security company Proofpoint which discovered a malicious remote access tool side-loaded onto the Pokemon GO app, just 72 hours after the game’s official Australian release.
Pro Tip: You have to download the Ingress app on your phone to access the desktop version, but it’s definitely worth it if you really want to get into Pokemon GO.
