Poland coach never feared Germany goal in stalemate
Wojciech Szczesny has been ruled out of Poland’s Euro 2016 clash with Germany, after the 26-year-old picked up an injury during their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland, as reported by Sky Sports.

“We want to play a match according to our strategy”.
The Germany coach also issued an apology for his touchline hygiene during the Ukraine game, when footage emerged that appeared to show him putting his hand down his pants and then smelling it.
In a game of few chances, Poland’s star striker Robert Lewandowski was well-marshalled by Bayern Munich teammates Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng – with Boateng being named the Man of the Match for his outstanding display. “We could not get chances in the last third of the pitch”, said Loew.
“There is no chance for Szczesny to play tomorrow, the team doctor has made the decision”, Poland coach Adam Nawalka said on Wednesday.
By the time Gomez, Besiktas’ top scorer in the Turkish league with 26 goals last season, came on as a 72nd-minute substitute, Germany had run out of ideas.
– Reuters pic PARIS, June 16 ― Germany coach Joachim Loew apologised on Wednesday for grabbing into the front and back of his pants during their opening Euro 2016 win over Ukraine on Sunday, in full view of the cameras.
The World Cup victor, both as a coach and player, added: “One thing distinguishes our team from the others: we are the only team with a lot of potential to improve”. “The problem was that the whole of our game in the last third was not very fast”.
“Lewandowski’s performance is always vital to our game plan”.
Defences were firmly on top at the Stade de France on an emotional return for Loew’s men, just seven months after they were caught up in a night of terror in the French capital when 130 people were killed in a string of terror attacks.
“We didn’t concede too many counter-attacks which the Polish are normally strong at”.
After a dour first half, Poland were more adventurous in the second and created the best chances of the match.

Hummels missed the world champions’ opening 2-0 victory over Ukraine on Sunday and has not played since picking up a thigh muscle injury in the German Cup final in May. We expect in the group stage that it will be an attritional. “It’s not nice to have seen such a situation, so we have to think about the victims and their families”.
