A polar bear at the Toronto Zoo got to experience snow for the first time this weekend.
Before arriving at St Louis aged two, Kali had spent the past two years at the Buffalo zoo after he was orphaned in Alaska’s wilderness when a hunter unknowingly killed his mother, unaware she had a cub.
The zoo later added it would be revealing the name of their latest addition on their Facebook page soon, as well as details of when she was likely to be presented to the public for the first time. At only three months old she now weighs 16.5 pounds and eats five times a day.
Aurora, one of the zoo’s adult polar bears, gave birth to two cubs on November 11.
Female polar bear Anana and new resident Nikita are now residing in the same exhibit, and based on a new video, they appear to be hitting it off quite nicely.
But she is on view for this video posted to Twitter by the zoo!
