Police Arrest 74 During Black Lives Matter Protest in NY
“BLM’s strategic mission to fight against injustice against black people is not in conflict with the mourning of the lives lost in Dallas”.

Late Thursday night, as details about the Dallas attack flooded Twitter, former Illinois Republican congressman Joe Walsh called for a “war” against Obama and “black lives matter punks”. Second, the criminal justice system needs to start showing consequences for those law enforcement officers who unjustly shoot people, so that the community can see that there are repercussions for law enforcement officers as well as civilians in such cases, Quanell said.
The Black Lives Matter protests are both scheduled for Sunday, July 9th.
Describing their initial reaction as “shock and sadness” the leader said they were anxious about “blowback for a movement centered on the human rights of black Americans that is growing in scope and power” and anxious that a growing discourse in the country was focused on good police work.
It started around 4pm at the Liberty Pole, as part of an event that was scheduled prior to the Dallas shooting of police officers.
The rally is planned in response to recent police killings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.
“Black Lives Matter”, he concluded, “inflames rather than illuminates”.
“We can’t really focus on whether people are going to cast us as a hate group when we are working to dismantle hate”, Woods said. He said that about 112 officers were on scene throughout the entire event.
The peaceful vigil in Boston was meant only for black community members and offered a space they could come together and heal, organizers said.

Two movement sources that spoke with BuzzFeed News said the starkest divide – between organizers exhibiting sympathy and those who have been neutral or more antagonistic – has played out privately and even on social media, if not in public statements. America has always had a fascination with guns. I’m just exhausted of it. Enough is enough. “I think people are frustrated about all these deaths at the hands of police officers and no one ever having to be responsible for them”.
