At one point, police said the man was refusing to come down.

A man who climbed a 26-storey construction crane in Calgary’s Beltline area and entered its operator’s cab has been arrested, police say.
Officials say no power is being supplied to the crane so the person climbing it has no means of operating the equipment.
Officers were called to the crane in the 600 block of 10th Avenue S.W.at about 7 this morning.
The site has been closed down and police have also closed off 10 Avenue, between 6 and 9 Streets, to traffic. “Police negotiators were very quickly dispatched to the scene and were able to contact this individual”.

The man is not known to the company running the construction site.
