Kristopher Love, 31, is in police custody and charged with capital murder and a federal firearms charge in the September 2 killing of Kendra Hatcher, Dallas police Maj.
Police believe Love shot and killed Kendra Hatcher in the parking garage of the Uptown apartment where she lived.
Love was in possession of the suspected murder weapon when he was taken into custody, police said.
An arrest warrant for Brenda Delgado, 33, has been sent out by Dallas police, reports The Washington Post, in connection with Hatcher’s murder.
Hatcher’s current boyfriend is, apparently, an ex-boyfriend of Delgado’s. Delgado also faces capital murder charges.
In September, another suspect, Crystal Cortes, was arrested. Love now sits in jail with a $2.5 million bond.
Investigators believe Love was hired by Crystal Cortez, 23, to murder Dr. Hatcher.
Delgado ‘was involved in the planning and the commission’ of what investigators are calling a ‘murder-for-hire, ‘ told an arrest warrant against her. Delgado also faces capital murder charges. Cortes allegedly admitted that she conspired with Delgado to “rob the complainant for remuneration which resulted in her death”, according to the arrest warrant affidavit for Love. The Dallas police are asking Delgado to surrender and come in but, at this time, she remains a fugitive and is on the run. “All I would suggest to her specifically is that she turn herself in as quickly as possible”.
Kendra Hatcher’s funeral is set for Saturday.
