The agreement between Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Ufa, Russia, last month to hold a meeting between the NSAs as the first among a series of conversations on terrorism between senior security officials had drawn criticism from sections in Pakistan. He said the bus ferrying 44 unarmed personnel got “isolated” from a convoy with a lone armed soldier (Rocky). Had he been killed it would have been “the Allah’s doing”, he said. Jammu And Kashmir 2 BSF Jawan 1 Militant Killed in Ongoing Encounter: 2 BSF Jawans and 1 militant is killed and 8 others injured in the terror attack in the ongoing encounter on Wednesday on Jammu-Srinagar highway Udhampur district.
Speaking to the English daily Hindustan Times, the unidentified individual said “I am the unfortunate feather of terrorist Naved”. He also revealed the identity of his slain accomplice as Mohammad Nomen @ Nomin, resident of Bhawalpur in Pakistan.
The accusation could further raise tension between the nuclear-armed neighbours following a recent attack on an Indian police station in which seven people were killed and intermittent clashes on their disputed border in Kashmir.
Intelligence sources said Usman had infiltrated into India along with at least four other LeT terrorists. It is the story of a speech-impaired Pakistani girl who winds up in India and with the help of a spiritual Indian man finds her way back home.
One of the two Pakistani terrorists was caught alive and he is being interrogated.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said at his weekly briefing that Pakistan has always condemned the violations and lodged protests with the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.
The villagers managed to capture him and call the police who took him into custody, giving the Indian security establishment a prize catch which points to Pakistani involvement in the attack. “We condemn it”, he said.
The brazen terror attack on the BSF convoy comes soon after a batch of Amarnath pilgrims had passed the spot, which raises concerns about the safety of thousands of devotees.
