Police continue to investigate mall shooting, provide no additional details

A single-engine Piper PA32 that took off from the Reid-Hillview Airport disappeared from radar near Bakersfield around 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Ian Gregor from the Federal Aviation Administration.

A man was shot in the leg during a fight inside a crowded Wisconsin mall on Saturday afternoon, one of the busiest shopping days of the year, and authorities were searching for the assailant, police said.

Madison Police spokesperson Officer David Dexheimer told WKOW-TV that the shooting happened around 2:50 p.m. just off center court near the food court area.

DeSpain described it as a “chaotic scene”, with some people running into nearby stores and hiding under garment racks and in back rooms. “Any time you have someone shooting in a public place, it’s going to cause panic, and that’s what we had here”.

Police is looking for a suspect saying it was either not an act of terrorism or the person involved was not an active shooter.
