AROUND 60 Canadian schools and universities have been evacuated over a possible “threat”.

It’s been a chaotic morning on Prince Edward Island after all public schools were evacuated because of what police call “a potential threat”.
Students at all primary and secondary schools across the Atlantic island province were taken to designated safe locations, federal police said, with parents anxiously awaiting information about where to pick up their children.
Nothing suspicious has been found in any of the schools and everyone is safe, said police.
“No threat located in any of the schools”.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said that no one has been injured.
The University of Prince Edward Island said it was closed for the day, “given the situation happening across the province”.
Parents will need to meet their children at the safe locations but they are asked to wait for further instructions, authorities said. It is the country’s smallest province with a population of around 146,000.
Cape Breton University was also evacuated following an unspecified threat.

But police evacuated the campus as a precaution and asked people to avoid the area.
