Weiland was best known as the lead singer and a founding member of the popular grunge rock band Stone Temple Pilots. “Together we crafted a legacy of music that has given so many people happiness and great memories”.
He ended by writing, “So it goes beyond tragedy to say it is we who lost them, and not the other way round…”
Detectives discovered the controlled substance after searching the tour bus where the former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer, who had had a long complicated relationship with substance abuse, was found. Part of that gift was part of your curse. All of our love and respect.
“We know amidst the good and the bad you struggled, time and time again”. The hit single “Plush” won the Grammy for best hard rock performance.
Police in Minnesota said they found cocaine in the bedroom of the tour bus where former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland was found dead.
As the Bloomington, Minnesota, Police Department continues its investigation into the singer’s death, today the department issued a search warrant for the tour bus and found cocaine in the room where Weiland was discovered, police said. The man hasn’t been charged.
The local medical examiner was investigating Weiland’s cause of death.
Radar spoke exclusively to a source very close to Weilands wife, Jamie Wachtel, who said that the Weiland and the Wildabouts drummer Joey Castillo was the one who found his lifelong friend dead. Vitorino said he learned of Weiland’s death from his tour manager but did not provide further details.
