Police, Firefighters Rescue Bear Cub
Colorado Springs police found the bear with her head stuck inside a plastic protein powder container just after 5 a.m.at 14th and West Kiowa streets. Officers found the cub and unsuccessfully tried to remove the bottle.

While driving on a dark road, a Colorado man noticed two bear cubs and their mom. They then put the cub in the backseat of a patrol auto and took her to Fire Station 3.
It published a photo of the small cub riding in the cruiser, sitting under the rear window, her head stuck in the tub.
A mama bear was hit by a vehicle outside of Sedalia over the weekend, leaving her baby cubs devastated.

Matt Robbins, a spokesman for Colorado Parks and Wildlife, told The Gazette of Colorado Springs that investigators believe the large male bear caught Friday was one of those being fed by 62-year-old Jo Ann Medina.
