According to police, the victim was identified as 54-year-old Adam Ray Roberson. He was last seen on May 20 but wasn’t reported missing.

Police say DNA analysis generated a match between the human legs found and Ray Roberson, 54, who was homeless. He said the DNA had been compared to samples taken from people with criminal convictions.

Hartman said investigators are still attempting to identify a pair of arms found blocks from the legs.

Police are investigating this as a homicide although they say there isn’t an indication as to where the homicide or dismemberment occurred.

No additional body parts have been found or reported, police said. He said it still is not known where the dismemberments happened.

The legs were found July 15th near the State Street railroad station. The two arms, which did not have hands attached, were found in a plastic bag in the same area later the same day.
